The Shwedagon Pagoda is magnificent: the massive pagoda and the smaller pagodas that encircle it, plus numerous prayer halls that house hundreds of Buddha images, I had hard time deciding where to set my eyes on. Among the architectural accents that caught my eyes, I managed to pay attention to devotees as well, local folks are amiable and hospitable. When I was standing inside the hall of the reclining Buddha, admiring the beautiful Buddha images, this young lady caught my eyes. She walked in the hall with her eyes fixed on the paintings posted on the upper part of the walls. I believe she was reading the stories of Lord Buddha wholeheartedly.

This lady is also wearing thanaka.
↑ It is not uncommon to see young folks, like this young lady (red arrow), practice their English skill with foreign tourists at tourist spots.
