曼谷雲石寺 Bangkok Marble Temple

維基百科: 雲石寺(泰語:วัดเบญจมบพิตรดุสิตวนาราม)是泰國的一間寺廟,位於是曼谷的阿裕他耶路,1899年由泰國君主拉瑪五世決定興建。拉瑪五世駕崩後亦埋骨於此。寺廟正殿的寺柱、石欄、石獅,石壁及地面等材料都是由義大利進口的大理石,因此被稱為雲石寺。

Wikipedia – Wat Benchamabophit Dusitvanaram (Thai: วัดเบญจมบพิตรดุสิตวนาราม) is a Buddhist temple (wat) in the Dusit district of Bangkok, Thailand. Also known as the marble temple, it is one of Bangkok’s best-known temples and a major tourist attraction. It typifies Bangkok’s ornate style of high gables, stepped-out roofs and elaborate finials.

⇑⇓  那天天氣酷熱, 午後又可能有大雨, 跟大伙去了幾个景点後, 我就離團來這裡, 為的就是要在這角度拍這張照片, 天氣還算配合, 可惜没想到, 院子裡面有活動舉行, 佈置了帳蓬防雨。本來想試試PS掉帳蓬, 但這是旅行紀錄, 就讓它保留原貌。

⇑⇓  This scene/picture was the reason why I had to make it a brief stopover on our way back to the hotel on a sizzling hot day, unfortunately, a big tent was set up in the court for some activities. I though of using PS to eliminate it, but decided to leave it the way it was, because this is my travel record.

⇑⇓  在介堂(主殿) 內有素可泰式的大佛, 鋳於1920年。據說是仿泰北古鎮Phitsanulok的Phra Buddha Chinarat 佛.

⇑⇓  Wikipedia – Inside the ordination hall (ubosot) is a Sukhothai-style Buddha statue named Phra Buddhajinaraja, cast in 1920 after the original located in Wat Mahathat in Phitsanulok. The main Buddha image is a copy of Phra Buddha Chinarat that resides in Phitsanulok in northern Thailand.

⇑ 介堂的迴廊內供有52尊佛像, 是Damrong Rajanubhab王子的收藏。

 Wikipedia – In the gallery surrounding the ordination hall are 52 buddha statues each showing different mudras (signs),  collected by Prince Damrong Rajanubhab for his king.
